Drug addiction
When a person consumes drugs for reasons other than those provided for in the first place, or in excess of the recommended amounts, before we have a problem. This problem is called drug and as the name suggests, refers to the dependency to a substance, the search and compulsive use of this. Its use is prolonged more than necessary even when the consequences and side effects are very negative person. For this reason the consumption of drugs must always be fully controlled and be recommended by a physician. Once ingested, drugs work in different ways, which we must know: - For replacement , when supplement missing some substance in the body like the case of insulin for diabetics.
- Antibiotics, antiviral or antif ungal acting against an invading organism and blocking destroying pathogens.
- In the cellular metabolism , such as antidepressants acting on cell membranes. - In the case of vitamins drugs function as input , adding the body substances are diminished by nutritional deficits. Drugs that can consider risk, being the most addictive, we find: the analgesics to control pain, and diarrheal emetics, used by people with eating disorders; anti presivos or tranquilizers , medicine to prevent insomnia, muscle relaxants, for weight control. We can also find the barbiturates and amphetamines .
